Trump's impulsive, ill-advised war has screwed the world May 19, 2026 1:46 pm BuckGalaxy

Trump keeps making threats to renew the bombing campaign, but then keeps backing down. At least four times now. At this stage the Iranians are laughing at him, and the rest of the world sees America as a weak power no longer able to guarantee the world’s trade routes. This is a disaster that is unfixable by military means anymore.

The Mango Moron doesn’t dare attack again because if he does two, and possibly three, things will happen: 1) Iran will obliterate the oil and gas infrastructure of the Gulf States. It would likely take years to rebuild and it would wreck the economies of Japan, South Korea, Pakistan, India and South East Asia and many other nations around the world. It would also send energy prices soaring. 2) Iran would also bring the world’s communications, and by extension financial markets, to its knees by cutting the underwater communications cables beneath the Strait of Hormuz, which link far beyond the Middle East. 3) Iran could also destroy the desalinization plants of countries like the UAE, Qatar and Kuwait. Those nations are existentially dependent on desalinization. Massive cities such as Dubai and Abu Dhabi would become virtually uninhabitable without them.

The Orange Dumbshit fucked up very badly here. Iran may have suffered the loss of their leadership and huge sections of their military capacity, but the regime is still in place and they are politically much stronger and more influential than they were before the war with their control of the Straight of Hormuz. Not to mention they have not made one single concession about their nuclear program or anything else.
