I just read an editorial in the NYT that concluded with that little tidbit of polling data. This is a question polls ask people that annoys the crap out of me. WTF does it even mean to people? I know the pollsters seem to think it means whoever is in the White House is taking us in the wrong direction. Bullfuckingshit.

*I* think the country is on the wrong track, not because of Biden’s policies, but because one of the political parties in our two-party system of government has lost their collective fucking minds. We’re on the wrong track because insane people are ALWAYS either in power or on the cusp of it. We’re on the wrong track because they have created their own hermetically sealed information universe and there is no way to pull them back into reality. We’re on the wrong track because a third of the American population are drowning in the conspiracy theory fever swamps. We’re on the wrong track because a deranged sociopathic madman who sent a mob to attack the capital is not in prison, he’s got at least even odds of winning back the White House.

Just trying to rant this thing out of my system. Not working.
