I can see why the Republicans are so determined to see Putin’s army roll over Ukraine. Its not just to ‘stick it to the libs’ or to make Biden look bad. Its personal. It’s not ideological, it has nothing to do with the border or illegal immigration, or funding for NATO. It’s payback. Ukraine humiliated Trump and almost got him impeached during the bogus Hunter Biden scandal he tried to pull off to get Zelensky to manufacture election dirt on Joe Biden. He got caught red-handed in his little blackmail scheme, even though the GOP did everything they could to sweep it all under the rug.

This whole hostage situation is a personal vendetta, withholding Ukraine funding to extract concessions on the border makes sense now. Even the last bipartisan border/military aid bill was shot down on orders from Trump. It doesn’t matter how much the Democrats compromise or surrender on their border proposals, it will never be enough. The real reason is to punish the Ukrainians for making Trump look bad. Its just petty revenge.

If Trump wins this election, heaven help who’s on his shit list. It will be a bloodbath. He won’t just be going after politicians, he’ll be gunning for judges, journalists, authors, celebrities, anyone who has gone on public record against him. And at the local and state level, his goons will go after local figures who have expressed dissatisfaction with Trump, confident that pardons, partisan law enforcement and friendly judges will be on call, if needed. Be careful what you say, or who you say it too. And be very careful with your online presence. There are probably people monitoring that already. Its not that everyone will be out to get you, its that those who aren’t will be afraid to raise their voices in indignation.

And even if you’re not political and have kept a low profile, do you have any enemies? Is there anyone out there who covets your job, or your property, or your wife? Does anyone hold a grudge against you? A mechanism will now be in place to rat out and inform on you and your family. Think about it. This isn’t just about politics any more. Its about poison pen letters and midnight phone calls, slashed tires and bricks through your windows, slogans painted on your walls. And they will all have guns.

It won’t just be poll workers and gay folks any more.
