Bolton bolts. September 10, 2019 9:34 am ER

I never thought I’d come to see the day when I was troubled to see John Bolton fired from the job of National Security Advisor. Bolton may have been a dangerous, loose-cannon, war-mongering hawk, but at least he was a highly experienced and consistent official with no illusions about how to deal with tyrants and dictators.

No doubt Trump will replace him with some pathetic, pompous pandering pimp like Pompeo. In short, yet another greasy careerist sycophant and yes-man. No, I don’t expect Mr Trump to appoint someone to this position I’d find acceptable; but I doubt now whether he will replace Mr Bolton with anyone anybody could see as even remotely acceptable.

No doubt the 9/11/19 Camp David fiasco figured prominently in this latest development.
