This last Sunday, I was really looking forward to watching the Sunday morning news shows. The Ukrainians had finally launched their counter-offensive, and Donald Trump was indicted by the Justice Department. And of course, there was the continuing story of the Canadian wildfires.

“Meet the Press” was pulled off the air by NBC to show Tennis, and CBS replaced “Face the Nation” with Golf. The local stations were saturated with coverage of the Florida Panthers and Miami Heat getting humiliated in the Stanley Cup and NBA Finals.

Every country eventually gets the government it deserves.
