Conservatives on verge of giving up a huge issue. January 22, 2012 4:26 pm bowser

http://www.christianpost.com/news/forgiving-gingrich-and-electing-him-as-values-candidate-not-the-same-say-evangelical-67617/

“While evangelicals applauded Newt Gingrich for his sharp response to CNN debate moderator John King on Thursday night about his second wife, evangelicals are not necessarily comfortable with electing him as the “values” candidate.”

“This is the party of family values. If you’re going to be in the party of family values, you got to walk the walk or you may be charged with hypocrisy,” Land said.”

“Gingrich has been married three times. The first two marriages ended in divorce due to his infidelities. Additionally, his past two wives were his mistresses.”

A man can forgive a pickpocket but might want to keep a hand on his wallet.  We all know that this is a phony issue, Conservatives are one randy bunch, no more believers in “family values” than GWB was in serving in the military, but managed to maintain a public perception.

If one is considering family values as a virtue in a President, compare Obama and Gingrich.
