HP 48SX Manuals--Free to good home July 12, 2020 6:06 am hank

Our HP 48SX pocket calculator had to be put down, but I know a lot of folks still have the old classic and might like some manuals for it.

This model is an extremely powerful machine with many capabilities and features, including advanced math, graphics and programming. I suspect very few people ever had the background necessary to exploit all its capabilities. It was superseded by the HP48GX which was discontinued in 2003–when field-portable computers and math software became readily available and high-end pocket calculators became obsolete. So if you’ve got a 48, you can’t replace it with anything built today.

We have the GX model, which is an extended version of the SX so many of the HP manuals and after-market documentation that came with the SX are still useful to us, but the following items are redundant and you’re welcome to them.

Original HP Owner’s Manual, Vols I and II.

Original HP Programmer’s Reference Manual

HP 48SX Insights, Part I: Principles and Programming (Wickes).
We have the companion volume, Part II: Problem Solving Resources, because it is still applicable to our machine and the GX edition was never published after the 48 series was discontinued. These are outstanding references, and they stand alone, but if you find Part II anywhere I suggest you snap it up and complete the set.

HP factory Padded plastic carrying pouch. Rather beat up, but it will protect your calculator while it is banging around in your briefcase.

Let me know if you can use any of this, and we’ll get in touch through Habzone management.
