"My father is a monster." December 17, 2018 9:39 pm podrock

So there is this guy in Brazil, who calls himself “John of God”, who has, for decades, been taking money from frightened people to preform “psychic surgery” on them. It’s an old slight-of-hand trick easily understood by a 12 year old kid just learning magic tricks. I’ve been aware of him for a long time. This town is known for woo, hard to avoid it at parties, even harder to not laugh in people’s faces.

Why, then, am I not even the tiniest bit surprised:

(PS: I hate websites I can’t cut and paste from to include in a teaser blockquote. I know why, but screw you, I’m sending one or two clicks your way.)
