Judiciary vs an incompetent president February 9, 2017 9:32 pm mcfly

Trump’s sycophants are trying to paint the 9th Circuit as some sort of “rogue court” that routinely gets reversed by SCOTUS.

Here’s an interesting analysis of that very myth:

Supreme Court Reversal Rates: Evaluating the Federal Courts of Appeals

One might care to notice that between 1999 and 2008 inclusive, the 9th Circuit terminated 114,199 cases, of which the Supreme Court reversed 107. One hundred and seven.

Edit: changed “overturned” to “reversed” in the interests of psychotic legal exactness.
