They are getting rough. I’ve never seen American politics so mean-spirited, so personal and so far away from relevance. These people have given up any pretense of a constructive opposition.
Whatever the outcome, I can’t see a resolution which restores dignity to the American political process and the American people. We have descended beyond the level of Central American politics.
