Every month I publish here a little graph showing the decline of Arctic sea ice for that month as recorded by the National Snow and Ice Data Center for the last 35 years or so that satellite measurements have been available.

The graphic below compares those curves for every month of the year. Although there is much noise, or variation, in the data, the data shows a trend of decline in sea ice for every single month. The decline is flattest during the winter months, when ice cover is maximized, and most extreme in late summer when ice is minimum. But the trend for every month is down.

The numbers along the y axis are not ratios or percentages or anomalies, they are absolute area in millions of square kilometers.
