It occurs to me that the US is on the verge of terror which will reach into every household, town, village and city in a hurry.  First, let’s dispel the notion that the job of the police is “To Protect and Serve” the citizenry first.

Several times bodies have been dumped near the hospice.  The police would be called, and it would take them an hour to clear the area.  They were afraid a killer might be nearby and did not want to expose themselves.  In the meantime, the staff and patients at the hospice were on their own, as well as residents of apartments living next door.  The police did not give a hoot about their welfare compared to their own.  Once they were sure they would go home they would see if they could protect and serve the rest of the community.  Now I think they are well compensated because they are supposed to take risks for the good of the community but that’s me.

Anyway, criminals have generally given law enforcement a pass.  They, and their families, are safe from criminal retribution.  That allows for a rather civil contest.

Now, as the Mexican drug criminals penetrate the US scene, and don’t honor that limited truce, as they attack law enforcement and their families I think it will all change.  Your local cop will wear a balaclava, your local judges will have guards, as will their families.  And still there will be kidnappings and killings.  Enormous sums of money will be used to bribe the police and judicial system and it will collapse as far as protecting average people.  Law enforcement will be given the choice of accepting large bribes or being killed.

Society as we have known it will disappear.  The 1% will do fine, as they always do, the rest will be at the mercy of the criminals, both the taxpayer funded and the drug funded.  And it’s not far off, they are already demonstrating a presence in the southwest.

And, by the way, that is all funded by Americans buying illegal drugs.  Average, middle class citizens.  Funding the coming destabilization of our society.  And unable to accept responsibility for that.
