Has anyone been following this? Is it worthwhile getting addicted to?

I own CDs of all three seasons of the
UK production of the same name,

with the FU (Francis Urquhart) role played magnificently by veteran Brit Shakespearean actor, the late Ian Richardson (Lord Groan in the

Gormenghast Trilogy. )

The UK HoC and its two sequels are terrific drama, and if you’re not familiar with it I suggest you check it out.

Is it worth my while to get the American version? I really like Kevin Spacey’s work, and I have no doubt the production is excellent, but if the plots are too close together it would seem to be redundant. I have a feeling the corruption and conspiracy of UK parliamentary politics are probably comparable to our own. I don’t need a course in comparative anatomy, and I don’t want to be let down like I was with the movie version of LeCarre’s Tinker, Taylor.

I need some advice from someone familiar with both versions–and no, I’m not interested in joining Netflix. I’ll wait til its out on CD.
