Most entertaining thing today is watching many liberals utterly lose it over the Republicans attempting to rein in the insane level of government spending.

We’ve already seen Krugman’s rant. Here’s one by the Washington Post’s Richard Cohen, and Joe Nocera at the New York Times.

Apparently people actually trying to deal with bloated government are terrorists, nihilists, communists, totalitarians, and worse. To a leftist, there is nothing worse than restraining in any way the size and power of the State.

We’re going to be borrowing – going further into the hole – about $8 trillion over the next ten years instead of $10 trillion. This assumes, according to the CBO, the end of the Bush tax cuts in 2013 (all of them), nothing done about Alternative Minimum Taxes, and the Obamacare taxes coming into effect.

And this pitiful lightening of the pressure on the accelerator as we head for the wall drives the Left crazy.

By the way, weren’t these the guys lecturing us on “civility” and the “New Tone?”
