Interesting stuff on BBC news tonight November 28, 2012 4:11 pm ER

Explorers believe they have discovered up to 60 UK Spitfire fighters buried in a Burmese jungle airfield after the war. Supposedly, the aircraft are still in their packing crates; hopefully smothered in cosmoline! I wish my father could have seen this.

Scientists in Antarctica have drilled down into a deep submerged lake far under the ice. It has been found to be cold, dark, (duh!), full of brines, and supporting a biologically active community of microbes.
Europa suddenly sounds closer than ever.
