And now, California November 8, 2012 10:54 am TB

The Democrats have won supermajorities in both houses here. Two-thirds of each one.

Articles here, and here.

Things they can now do:

- Increase taxes without asking voters or Republicans
- Put a constitutional amendment on the ballot
- Override the governor’s vetoes
- Suspend the minimum funding guarantee for K-12 schools

We have apparently already voted ourselves a number of new taxes across the state. And now this.

There will be no Democratic voices raised in praise of a “two party system” or concerned about “balance of power.” None.

“Debate” is no longer a problem for the Democrats in this state.

Let the Great Leap Forward begin.
