"Mind-boggling" speed of quantum entanglement is measured for the first time April 1, 2025 2:58 pm BuckGalaxy

So entanglement is not instantaneous as once thought. The average speed of entanglement between two electrons (depending on whether they are high energy state or low energy state) is about 232 attoseconds. That is the case REGARDLESS OF THE DISTANCE BETWEEN THEM. One attosecond is one-quintillionth of a second (that’s a 1 followed by 18 zeros).

For reference, the speed of light would travel the width of a human hair in one attosecond. So quantum entanglement happens on average about the time it takes light to travel the width of 232 human hairs (or about 1.75 cm). Again it doesn’t matter the distance between the entangled electrons. The two entangled electrons could be a foot apart, from the earth to the Oort Cloud, or to another galaxy.

So explain to me how this is not FTL? I guess the theory is nothing is travelling between them, they just somehow are connected with no apparent connection? I just have to believe there is a connection that we are unable to detect. Maybe through some unknown dimension of space and time? (Play Twlight Zone music).

And regardless, if we can develop quantum communication through entanglement, why couldn’t that lead to instant communication with spacecraft on the far end of the solar system and beyond?
