I know this one (I had a bigger post on the clipboard when I came here, but this first). “Purge anything that has never posted” is almost what I’d recommend. But instead of purging, put them in a group that can’t post (or even login; I think I remember some kind of “null” group). That way your decisions are reversible if somebody contacts you and demands their goddam account back.

How to select those slackers? Ask RL’s AI . It’ll probably respond smugly with some SQL that begins with something like:

SELECT * FROM users WHERE post_count < 1

and give you a Python script to feed the SQL into mySQL.

I used it primarily to post images. The cumbersome process of saving an image on my computer, then uploading it the Dashboard, resizing it, copying the new HZ link and then pasting it into my post. I’d often have two tabs of the HZ open, one with the Dashboard and the other with my post, so I could slightly expedite the process.

I just did a deeper glance in there. I don’t see a members list but I did see posts going back to 2011. It reminded me how much a couple old time users annoyed TF out of me lol…

Question, though. Since you have moderator powers, have you had a look inside the dashboard? I’m curious about you moderators’ access to the engine room.

I used to have a sock puppet account to check permissions and access. Haven’t used it for years.

Purging any member that has never posted seems like a good idea. If those are easy to identify it should be a fast process, unless of course the Delete User process is as cumbersome as say, posting images here.
