is an American public ready to send its kids to die in Trump's war but that suddenly gets cold feet when the price of gas goes up a dollar a gallon.

Oh, and by the way. If we are the world's leading producer of petroleum, that is, if we are truly independent of all others, then why should our energy prices be tied into overseas issues? Could it possibly mean American capitalists are willing to let Americans walk to work while they make obscene profits selling American crude to Europe and Japan?

Oh yeah, I've heard all the business major excuses; "But OUR oil is tied into the GLOBAL market. We can't control the price...". Yeah, right. He who can destroy a thing controls a thing.

Welcome to Maggie's farm.

The Orange Idiot, with zero knowledge of history, signs the surrender at Versailles! Macron must have been chuckling under his breath.

Only the most braindead Trump cultist could ever call this a victory. Iran has emerged much stronger from this war. It has dictated terms to lift ALL sanctions, to not disassemble its nuclear program, to keep its ballistic missiles, to continue to fund its terrorist proxies, to potentially charge tolls for passage through the Strait after two months, and now it knows it can shut down the strait whenever it wants giving Iran massive political and economic leverage over the global economy.

And one more benefit to the Islamo-fascist regime, Trump, Vance and his team are now practically taking Iran's side against Israel! Israel has now learned firsthand Trump can't be trusted. He has loyalty to no one but himself. He has no values; EVERYTHING is transactional.

I hope this rips the GOP apart.

It doesn't change the fact that is in the agreement: $300B, raised by whoever, to reconstruct Iran is madness! Talk about capitulation!

Trump started this war with the statement "The Iranian people will soon be free." He dropped the regime change demand after a week and called for "unconditional surrender." His stated goals:

Destroy Iran's nuclear program.
Destroy Irans' Ballistic Missile capability.
Destroy Iran's Navy.
End Iran's support of its Proxies.

Here's what the 14 point MOU actually says.

1 – The shooting stops. Both sides declare an immediate and permanent end to military operations on every front, including Lebanon. (Israel is not a signer of the MOU).

2 – Stay out of each other's business. Each country agrees not to interfere in the other's internal affairs. In theory, good. In practice, Iran has been interfering in the internal affairs of Lebanon, Yemen, Gaza, and Iraq for decades through proxy forces this agreement says nothing about.

3 – Both sides have 60 days to negotiate a final deal. That clock is extendable by mutual consent, which in diplomatic language means it can run forever if neither side wants to call the bluff.

4 – The U.S. lifts its naval blockade. This begins immediately and must be fully complete within 30 days. That's a concrete American concession delivered upfront, before the hard negotiations even begin.

5 – Iran reopens the Strait of Hormuz. No tolls for 60 days. Safe passage for commercial vessels. Mine-clearing within 30 days.

6 and 7 – IAEA inspectors go back in. International nuclear inspectors return to Iran, attempting to reestablish the inspection system that existed before the Mango Moron torpedoed the JCPOA.

8 – Iran promises not to build a nuclear weapon. This is not new as Iran has made this promise for decades while continuing its efforts to build the bomb. They also agree to down-blend some of their enriched uranium stockpile on Iranian soil under IAEA supervision. The question of how much Iran gets to enrich going forward? Deferred to the final deal.

9 – Iran promises to freeze its nuclear program exactly as it is right now. Meaning it keeps what it has right now. The U.S. adds no new sanctions and sends no additional forces.

10 – ALL SANCTIONS END. Iran can sell oil again. Immediately. The U.S. Treasury issues waivers the moment the MOU is signed, covering oil exports, banking, insurance, and transportation. This is real economic oxygen, delivered now, not later.

11 – Frozen assets unlocked. Roughly $25 billion in Iranian sovereign assets become available upon implementation. The specific procedures for release are left to negotiation – but the commitment is made.

12 – A $300 billion reconstruction fund. Gulf states would fund Iran's economic rebuilding, contingent on full compliance with a final deal. This will not happen if Iran doesn't comply, but the very offer is insane. And the lifting of sanction will mean hundreds of billions in oil revenue flowing into Iran's coffers one way or another.

13 – Sequence matters. The final deal negotiations don't begin until the ceasefire holds, the blockade is lifted, the Strait is open, and the economic provisions are flowing.

14 – The final deal gets a UN stamp. Whatever is eventually negotiated becomes binding under a United Nations Security Council resolution.

So here we are: NOTHING about Iran's ballistic missile program and Trump just said why not let them have missiles? NOTHING about ending funding to Hezbollah, Hamas, the Houthis or the Iraqi Shiite militias Iran has used as proxies for decades. Iran's navy was not completely destroyed and thus is still able to block the straight whenever it wants. And if anyone believes they are not going to secretly continue their nuclear research they are as stupid as Trump. Lifting sanctions will vastly strengthen the Islamo-fascist regime. After 60 days they could start demanding tolls to pass through the Straight.

This is a shameful and weak surrender on so many levels. Iran has emerged from Trump's idiotic war with more leverage, vastly more money, and a free hand to use their proxies or choke off the Gulf again.
