Mildly annoying bad grammar January 7, 2026 9:40 am BuckGalaxy

Yes I know I do it all the time. I wasn’t an English major and to make matters worse the gray matter in my brain is moving into my hair. But there is one grammatical error in particular I see a lot which is so easy to fix:

Its and It’s.

If the sentence makes sense with “it is”, then there is an apostrophe. If it doesn’t, there isn’t.

Example: It’s important for America to protect its Constitution.
