We are soooo fucked December 15, 2025 6:59 pm RL

2 Satellites come within 1km of each other every 22 seconds. If we lost ability to adjust them to avoid collision, it would be 3 days before we would probably have a collision.

Starlink is still growing its constellation, Amazon’s Kuiper is just getting started, as is Kepler many others proposed to add many times the number of satellites already up there. DoD and China also plan constellations… the proposed Chinese commercial constellations are insanely huge.

Add to that the millions of pieces of debris, and the chain reaction a single collision could start…

We could lose access to LEO for a very long time….
