Blue Origin was founded 25 years ago. As of this week, they are finally in the heavy launch business. They successfully sent twin Mars probes on their missions. Space X's Starship has had a dozen test launches but has yet to put a commercial payload into space. It's a vindication of Blue Origin's approach of working out the kinks with on ground testing slowly rather than multiple launches like Space X.

The landing of the heavy booster was an immense acheivement in furthering access to space. Not only does it make launches vastly cheaper, the competition to Space X will further push the price down. Black-hearted Bezos has broken Evil Elon's monopoly.

The Mars mission itself is groundbreaking. Historically, missions to Mars are launched every two year window when the planets align optimally. Someday in the future, we are going to be doing so many launches to Mars they may not all fit into that window. This launch is a test run for a new path to Mars. The twin probes are in a loitering orbit now and will use the earth's orbit to slingshot them to Mars when the window arrives. This method will allow multiple Mars launches anytime, just queuing up dozens or even hundreds of spacecraft and then sending them all during the launch window.

A huge success for space exploration!

♫ Nothing but blue skies, do I see ♫

Blue Origin's New Glenn made a perfect launch on its second try! The Mars mission is on its way, and the booster landed perfectly! Bravo!

Bezos' New Glenn heavy lift rocket just leap frogged Musk Vader's Starship. There's a new sheriff in town!
