Trump withdraws Jared Isaacman’s nomination to lead NASA ‘after a thorough review of prior associations’

…Trump on Saturday rescinded his nomination of tech billionaire Jared Isaacman to lead NASA, citing a “thorough review of prior associations.”

The president pledged in a social media post that a new nominee would be “mission aligned” and “put America first in Space.”

“After a thorough review of prior associations, I am hereby withdrawing the nomination of Jared Isaacman to head NASA. I will soon announce a new Nominee who will be Mission aligned, and put America First in Space,” Trump wrote on Truth Social…

Records on OpenSecrets, a nonpartisan organization that tracks money in politics, show Isaacman donated to Democrats as recently as the 2024 election cycle, though he donated to Republicans in prior years. But on social media, he has largely refrained from voicing a stance on hot-button political issues.

Well can’t have a guy who isn’t a MAGA nutjob running our space program now can we?

The way things are going, I’d expect the Orange Buffoon to select Mark Sargent for the job.
