The Captive’s War is a new series coming out in 2026 based on the book series by the two-author writing team named Daniel Abraham and Ty Franck. They are known professionally under the shared pen name, James S.A. Corey and are the writers of The Expanse and The Captive’s War triology (although only one of the three books is currently out).
It’s not a clone of The Expanse, which was likened to Battlestar Galactica. The Captive’s War is more a mix of The Expanse and Star Trek.
