Forums column on the left. Topics posted by users for the selected forum in a center column, and discussion within that topic on a pop up window once the topic is selected. Think of it as a private chat board with as many text and voice channels as you want. Roles for channel access can be assigned. Bots can even be added to manage stuff, but that takes a skillset I don't have. Surprisingly there are quite a few people who do it though.
