Not everything is a conspiracy. But that doesn’t mean there are no conspiracies. In the end, you just have to trust you experience, your instincts and your intuition.

The truth IS relative. That doesn’t mean that there is no truth, just that there is really no way to tell for sure. Sometimes, we just have to make decisions without having sufficient data to properly base them. In fact, intelligence can be defined as the ability to make the right decision based on incomplete data–at least, most of the time.

The universe is not like chess, its more like backgammon. You can see all the positions of the pieces on the board, but you never can predict the roll of the dice.

I was busy doing something else. Besides, I’m not a particular fan of that type of music (that’s an artistic opinion, not a political one).

As for who is bad-mouthing the show, it could be anybody. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a sinister group with a deep agenda. That’s the problem with the Net, any asshole can start a fire.

I don’t know who’s doing it or why, but someone is feeding the racial division and strife.

Russians? Chinese? Internal?

Then, in the Reagan administration, we started to slide back again. No, I am NOT saying Ronald Reagan deliberately promoted racist policies, he did not, but somehow, some way, it seemed to give encouragement to the bubbling pool of racist magma that simmered beneath the thin crust of American society. All during the Bush, Clinton and Bush administrations it was teetering on a knife edge. But as soon as Trump came along the flood gates burst open again.

I’ve lived a long time, and I’ve had a clear advantage of seeing it from a Jim Crow close-up as a Southerner, but with the cultural perspective of an outsider, a Cuban immigrant with a home culture I could compare and contrast what I experienced to.

Racism runs deep in American culture. And Americans, even the most well-meaning and decent ones, can’t see it. Fish are not really aware of the existence of water, they swim in it, they breath it, but they cannot see or feel it.

Its not likely to get any better in your lifetime, I used to think when the old generation died off it would go away, but racism is arising once again in people much younger than myself. And now, when it is being deliberately and systematically exploited and manipulated for political purposes, things will only get worse. And its not just black vs white, any more. Its now anti Jew, anti Arab, anti Latin, anti Asian, anti woman, anti gay, anti trans, anti anybody who isn’t “American” enough to satisfy whatever the current definition is. And by the way, they’re all pedophiles anyway, right? It seems like that’s the only minority everybody still agrees to hate, isn’t it?

For years we feared the Communists. Now there are no Communists, so we’re busy building new scapegoats: urban people, coastal people, the homeless, the poor, the educated, , the intellectuals, the “elites” (except for the business elites, they are all blameless!). What do you think all those zombie movies are really all about? No, I’m NOT saying they’re making zombie movies so we’ll hate minorities, its just that the fear of minorities has suddenly made zombie movies very popular. See how it works? Its not an engineered conspiracy, its a form of Darwinian natural selection.

Except that white, Northern European majority is rapidly becoming a minority. And they know it. And they’re scared. Those faceless hordes are running wild in the streets, taking all the jobs, (certainly all the good ones, have you noticed all the doctors and lawyers are foreigners or Jews–because they’re all math nerds). And taking all the white girls, too. They’re afraid all those little brown people out there are just dying to get even. They’re afraid we’re going to get treated by them the same way we treated them.

The other stuff was just the bread for the crowds. And the marketers.

I’ve got nothing against black folks, but one anthem and one flag is enough for any country. Pledges of Allegiance and other such crap are all fascist bullshit designed to call out, identify or intimidate anyone who doesn’t buy into their program.

I must have tuned in too late to hear the Black National Anthem, but I did see some tattooed punk sing America the Beautiful, and Reba Macintire do the Star Spangled Banner in her best redneck twang. So I guess they covered all their bases–they had something for everyone. I’m surprised everyone didn’t have to recite a prayer, like we were forced to do in my High School Home Room as late as 1964. And if you didn’t pretend you were praying the good Christian boys would meet you after school and beat the shit out of you.

This is is all classic fascist iconography, like brownshirts and swastikas and salutes, bandannas and cunt caps. My mother got it right when I asked her if I could join the Boy Scouts. She answered back; “No goddamn NAZI is going to dress up my son in a uniform and march him around, saluting flags and reciting pledges.” I didn’t understand her at the time, but I certainly do now.
