It is the ONLY THING worth reporting… I guess if we knocked off a queen a week we could have a pretty peaceful world…
Look, I had no ill will towards the queen… she just seemed kind of pointless. She spent her life being very careful to not express an opinion on anything, and in return she, and her heirs, live in obscene opulence while other citizens struggle to make ends meet- occasionally they play dress up and pretend like they actually matter…

The news anchors are asking over and over how will her death change the geo-political landscape… it won’t change a damn thing. Over and over they report she died peacefully… at 96 that is hardly newsworthy… I mean, had she died in a bar brawl, or running with the bulls in Pamplona THAT would be newsworthy… but there is no reason for it to to be the ONLY thing the news is covering…

I get that the institution of the monarchy is beloved by many in the UK, so I guess it is reasonable that it be a fairly big story over there… but the 24/7 coverage here in the US is rather weird… I honestly do not care if William and Harry are getting along with each other, I do not care who gets what unearned titles…

Do away with this cos-play gone wrong and use the resources where they can do the most good…
