I added a hack to update the root post timestamp when a tributary comment is posted, and sometimes that doesn't work. I think it's because the hack adds another database update, which may or may not get overwritten by whatever else is happening around then. Not a very sophisticated hack. Yet another argument to get moving on cleaning up the Zone and handing it off. We should return to that conversation in the near future.
