As it goes on, more and more people will become immune to it.  The bad news is that those that don&#039;t become immune will get more and more fanatical and will demand worse and worse.  

I saw the effect at work when I was a kid, and the Redneck Right was obsessed with putting down Darwinian evolution.  Eventually, even the fundowackos could no longer ignore the evidence.  

However, the diminishing cadre of true believers
only got more and more extreme.  I once had one tell me that fossils had been deliberately placed in the ground by God in order to test our faith.</description>
