The thought had already occurred to me, though I haven't yet worked out the additional 700 miles to get from base to tip.

The exact timing just became unclear, while the prospects of actually making it improved. My original plan was a plane flight to Pensacola around May, unlike a year ago when I took the train. Amtrak fares are up 50%, making it a ridiculous way to travel--for $3,000 bucks I may as well fly first class.

But now I'm giving serious thought to #vanlife, which, interestingly enough, I believe is the lifestyle bowser had just adopted at the time of your summit. In which case it'll probably be more like autumn (and who wants to go to Florida in the summer anyway?), and I'll build a loop around Florida into my first serious road trip.

Or not, and I go back to plan A and fly to Pensacola. I'll need to decide within the next month...oh geez, it's already almost April. Time seems to slip away faster the older I get. I'll keep ya posted.
