The mother of the shirtless rioter who stormed the U.S. Capitol in an outfit of horns and fur says her son hasn’t eaten since he was taken into custody because his detention facility hasn’t provided an “organic” diet.

Jake Angeli, of Arizona, whose real name is Jacob Anthony Chansley, made his initial federal court appearance in Phoenix on Monday, after he surrendered to the FBI on Saturday. Chansley was among the mob of President Donald Trump supporters that stormed the Capitol building on Wednesday as lawmakers convened to certify President-elect Joe Biden’s win. The attack left five dead, including a Capitol police officer.

Gerald Williams, Chansley’s public defender, told the court that his client has refused to eat in custody due to religious or health reasons. Outside the court, Martha Chansley, the suspect’s mother, explained to reporters that “he gets very sick if he doesn’t eat organic food.”

“He needs to eat,” she said. “I really need to speak to my son.”

Two of Donald Trump’s favored banks are pulling away from the billionaire president in the wake of last week’s deadly riot at the U.S. Capitol.

Deutsche Bank AG has decided to refrain from further business with Trump and his company, said a person with knowledge of the matter, asking not to be identified because the deliberations were confidential. Trump owes the Frankfurt-based lender more than $300 million.

And Signature Bank, the New York lender that’s long catered to his family, said it’s cutting ties while it presses for his resignation. Signature is closing two personal accounts in which Trump held about $5.3 million, a spokesperson for the firm said on Monday.

“We believe the appropriate action would be the resignation of the president of the United States, which is in the best interests of our nation and the American people,” the bank said in a separate statement on Monday.

These people are getting kicked off of flights

They are often vocal Trump supporters and some of them are claiming that they were kicked off “for supporting Trump”

Fourteen Alaska Air passengers coming from the coup were, indeed, put on the No Fly List

A few days ago, Mississippi Democratic Rep. Bennie G. Thompson proposed to the FBI, TSA, etc. that people who attended the coup be put on the No Fly List

Sara Nelson, president of the Association of Flight Attendants union, issued a statement saying “We support the swiftest action with clear consequences and clear rules for keeping these people off planes.”

And, here are some other things that are true.

These people were kicked off of flights for not wearing masks or for acting like assholes.

The Alaska Air passengers were put on the No Fly List after causing a disruption.

If it were true that the government could positively identify everyone who was at the coup and get them on the No Fly List in a matter of days, I think we might have bigger problems than these wackos. And I don’t say that lightly! It would be really bad! Especially considering how often people end up on the No Fly List by mistake.

THAT IS NOT EVEN SORT OF HOW THE NO FLY LIST WORKS. This should be very obvious to everyone who has been on a plane at any time during the last 20 years. They don’t let you through security, let your board your plane, and then come and take you off the plane. That would be absurd.
