Even if I drank, I couldn't now anyway- on top of everything else the past few weeks I got a ruptured disk which brought with it heavy duty pain meds- not advisable to wash those down with scotch... luckily that has mostly been resolved except pain at night... My wife and I have been avoiding doctor offices like the plague - but so far we have both had to make visits... I have to say the doctors I saw were taking the covid precautions pretty seriously. Yeah, I did smile- but I worry about what the GOP will try next to sabotage our democracy. But Biden's first speech as President (elect) had to be 100% reassuring, and even though we understand the mask intellectually, it would have undermined Biden in our scared little psyches. Or rather, for the most part I let the mushy platitudes, spoken in the dulcet tones of a guy born for this moment, wash over me.
