Its not official, but it looks like Biden won the election. But a closer look at the numbers reveals we’re not out of the woods yet.

The hoped-for GOP losses in the House, Senate and State House elections never materialized, and the Biden margin in the popular vote was only 2%. Half the American voters picked Trump, and it wasn’t out of ignorance; they knew exactly what they were getting. Our electoral college system continues to favor Republicans, they won in 2000 and 2016 with more people voting for their opponent than for their winner. The voter suppression mechanism and the Congressional redistricting are still controlled by GOP-dominated courts and State governors and legislatures.

We live in a nation where the poor will settle for whatever they can get, the center is terrified of losing what they’ve got and the rich can’t ever get enough. Fascism was not defeated Tuesday night, its still here. Welcome to the dictatorship of the middle class.
