In fact, the sound distracts from the real vibe being communicated here. Without the sound you see the gestures, the scowls, smirks and grimaces, the strutting and the mugging, the raised brows, rolled eyes, the body language, all the non-verbal cues and postures that transcend the facts and figures and claims and counter claims. There's contempt there, sarcasm, bitterness, hatred, outrage, disdain. Watch the performance, see the delivery, imagine it all in a foreign language. Imagine it all in grainy black and white. See what I mean? We've all watched this speech before. Many times. I should have turned off the sound, after all, it was the basic Trump speech, either you believe it totally or reject it entirely.
