I bet in return Vlad gave the Donald information on Suleimani's itinerary, knowing the Trumpster would swallow the bait whole and shoot himself in the foot, if you don't mind me mixing my metaphors.

The Kremlin knows the mullahs are not dependable allies, and that at any moment the Quds force could be unleashed on the oppressors of the Chechins and other Russian Muslims. What better way to remove a potential threat AND watch the Americans trip over their dicks yet again?

Yes, he was a murdering sonofabitch and had the blood of thousands on his hands. Few people deserved killing more than he did. However, there is always a question of timing...Suleiman deserved to die, but only Donald Trump could have picked such a bad time and place to do it.

For the last few weeks, there have been riots all over Iran by people protesting how their government's international adventurism have led to severe economic collapse at home. The mullahs have killed hundreds of civilians and clamped down hard on civil freedoms as a result, and it was starting to look like the Tehran regime was showing signs of grave internal weakness.

Meanwhile, next door in Iraq, there have also been deadly riots as Sunni Muslims have protested against their own Shia-dominated leadership and how it has neglected its own duties in order to pander to Iranian interests. It was starting to look like the time of Tehran's grip on Iraqi government (through Suleiman's militias) was finally coming to an end.

But Mr Trump has once again snatched defeat from the jaws of victory and nullified our rapidly improving political position in the middle east. In just a few days, the situation has turned around 180 degrees, with the Iranians resuming their nuke program and Iraqis voting the yanks to leave their country immediately.

Trump has succeeded in turning pro-American riots to anti-American riots overnight, by an act which could have easily been delayed a while, or have been carried out earlier on some neutral ground. Way-to-go, Donald! You've really screwed up big-time!
How did you come up with this one? Its hard to believe even you could be this fucked up. Did your pal Vladimir give you some coaching on this? I can detect his scent all over it.

We are now sliding into war in the middle east just like we were under the Bush NeoCons, except this time we've managed to get all our European and Muslim allies pissed off at us, so if we do have to go in (as our sudden reinforcing of our garrisons in that part of the world, after rapidly depleting them just a few months ago suggests) we will have to go it alone, with everyone in Europe rooting for our enemies.

Yeah, I know that Trump's own re-election and impeachment problems can't be directly blamed for this magnificently inane move, but its very difficult to ignore the circumstantial evidence that points to precisely that interpretation of recent events. Even if there is no wag-the-dog dynamic at work here, IT SURE LOOKS THAT WAY.
