Don’t get me wrong, I’m certainly not saying Trump’s not ignorant and close to being unhinged, I think we’ve all known that all along, even his closest allies. Neither do I believe the Right has suddenly found a conscience and a soul. This is strictly self-preservation. What I detect is that there doesn’t even seem to be an effort any more to be “objective”, or “fair”. Commentators are willing to come right out and say he’s unfit for command, even people deep in his own counsel. And its not always off the record, his own allies are leaking all sorts of juicy stuff like this to the press and even discussing it openly on the Sunday morning Beltway talk shows.

I get the impression someone, somewhere in his inner circle of supporters has decided that there must be some sort of 25th Amendment solution to a problem that has now become an embarrassment to his own party and a threat to his corporate and ideological allies. The GOP has started to come to the realization that for the sake of the Party and the business interests which have backed him up to now, he must be removed before the Dems can put together a credible impeachment threat, a winning electoral coalition–or before Trump simply redlines the nation into war, recession, environmental disaster or civil unrest.

What I think I’m seeing here is the very beginnings of the propaganda and media campaign to discredit and replace him, preferably with a slightly less toxic conservative. If not Pence, then Graham, Cruz, Ryan, maybe even Walsh! I sense the hand of Miller, Gingrich, Bolton and Bannon in all this. They want to get something, or someone, in place before the election, or at the latest, early in 2021. They realize even a Trump victory in 2020 is not going to solve their problem. Their man is out of control.

Remember, these seismic events and tectonic movements are never masterminded by highly organized cabals and committees, they arise in widely dispersed and diverse groups, often with contradictory agendas. From the outside it looks like a conspiracy, but its more like a cultural revolution, a melee of competing interests. What we can look for next is a power struggle on the Right for absolute control. And one things’s for certain, if they do find a way to Dump the Trump, they’re going to cover their ass by blaming it all on the Liberals.

Yes, something is definitely going on, even if just what is not clear. We are moving into times of high strange.
