<i>barr</i> - v: To misrepresent the results of an important investigation with bad faith summaries and representations by a high official in a position of trust and power.

You really took the long way round getting to the conclusion that Donald Trump must be impeached. Yes he must, as a matter of principle, and I'm getting damn sick and tired of Democratic politicians' dithering over calculations of political advantage. Nancy Pelosi may be a world class practitioner of the dark political arts, but that can only hinder her ability to make a decision on duty and principle alone.

And yet, I'm also persuaded by the view that if Donald Trump is still in office by the election of 2020, it spells the end of the <strike>Re</strike>Trumpublican Party. It's kind of refreshing to think that for once we'll get to vote on the true core values of the GOP, the selfishness and nationalism and bigotry, instead of the smokescreen of pious propaganda they've floated in bad faith for decades. I seriously doubt we'll ever have to endure a nonsense lecture on trickle-down economics ever again.

But why is it people are behaving as if those are two mutually-exclusive outcomes? Yes, we know the Republican Senate will abdicate its duty...and the drawback to that is what again? Or they astound us all and grow so many new spines they convict their Glorious Leader, and remove him from office?

Have we finally reached a win-win end game?
