It IS hilarious the way the right is feigning outrage over this- the publication that broke the story was a supporter of Roy Moore... Their hypocrisy on this matter is a hoot... But no matter WHO uncovered the photo- its there, his claim that 'Yes, I DID put on blackface but it wasn't me in that photo' is a bizarre defense... No sympathy from me, especially given his performance today... But if we are going to go after the Kavanaughs and Frankens of this world, then we need to be scrupulously fair about it. Besides, the Republicans have destroyed people and careers for youthful dalliances with homosexuality or Socialism, so we have to accept the good and the bad with our political correctness. Of course, neither homosexuality nor Socialism is a crime any more, or should be, but homophobia, racism, sexual abuse and misogyny are, and should be, so "political correctness" must be extended to everyone who presumes to speak for or lead the nation. The crimes of humanity are not restricted to one political philosophy or another, they tell us nothing about the value of the ideology embraced by the perpetrator.
