I was getting gas at the closest station using a credit card. I tried one card and it would not read it. So I tried a second card and was approved, filled the tank, took the receipt, and headed home. An hour later I get the call from my card companies' fraud department. My card was being used at a gas station 50 miles away, for purchases of $90 or so, to the tune of more than $800. Overall, I didn't wind up losing anything but a lot of time getting new cards and carefully going over my statements for any anomalies. I set up text notifications on any purchase over a dollar. And I use cash for gas or carefully inspect the card reader for a skimmer. Sorry about your mail difficulties. We never put outgoing mail in our box.
