In my measly 47 trips around the sun and 0.2 millionths of the way around the galaxy I have come to the conclusion that all of life is a fiction, and the best you can hope for is to have some say in the writing of your part- try and create a character that you would be proud to sign your name to. No one person will get more than a few lines in this epic- most get none. All you can hope to do is maybe advance the plot in a way that will make the story more to your liking... something future generations will enjoy reading. There is no heaven, nor a hell- only the storyline we help create for future authors to append onto... our names and details will be lost, but the story- hopefully- will continue without end. What we write with our words and actions today influences that plot for as long as the fiction continues. And, ER, those of us here and now- and elsewhere- we all know you write quite well... you have advanced the plot.
