The fact Trump was lying is irrelevant. The man is a crook and a liar, and the fact is well known by both his enemies and his friends.

The real issue is that both his lies and his crimes are tolerated, and even celebrated, by an influential minority of the American people, and a ruthless and well entrenched conspiracy of his allies and followers in the government and business. They don't care what he's done or how much proof there is against him, the fact is that we are rapidly approaching the point (perhaps we have already passed it) where it simply won't matter what he did or how much proof there is he did it. He said it himself, he could kill a man on the street and his followers would look the other way. He's not a very intelligent man, but he knows that, and his critics continue to fail to recognize it.

If Trump were to disappear tomorrow, whether by the 25th Amendment, impeachment, a medical emergency, a fatal accident or even an assassination, there are too many powerful and ruthless people, and too many cowed and intimidated sheeple, who believe they'll gain from his policies for anything to change. The man's removal from office, for whatever reason, will simply be interpreted by his followers as some Deep State conspiracy masterminded by Soros, Obama and the Clintons. The fact that they continue to support this grotesque buffoon should tell us the removal of the Trump bullet will still leave us with a deadly wound and a worsening infection.

This conspiracy precipitated and rallied around Trump's lies, but now it will survive easily without him. It took a total and crushing military defeat and occupation to defeat Hitler's Nazis. Stalinism did not disappear when Uncle Joe died. Even after the defeat of Soviet Communism it festered in a different form after his death, and has now erupted with more virulence than ever.

No matter how totally and effectively Trump and his gang are defeated and discredited, the residual poison will remain in the system, waiting for its chance to flare up again.

It's a lesson America didn't learn in 1865. Southern fear, hatred, anger and envy has metastasized.

The anti-bribery provisions of the FCPA make it unlawful for a U.S. person, and certain foreign issuers of securities, to make a payment to a foreign official for the purpose of obtaining or retaining business for or with, or directing business to, any person. Since the 1998 Amendment of FCPA they also apply to foreign firms and persons who take any act in furtherance of such a corrupt payment while in the U.S. The meaning of foreign official is broad.

https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/anthonycormier/the-trump-organization-planned-to-give-vladimir-putin-the?ref=bfnsplash

President Donald Trump’s company planned to give a $50 million penthouse at Trump Tower Moscow to Russian President Vladimir Putin as the company negotiated the luxury real estate development during the 2016 campaign, according to four people, one of them the originator of the plan.

Two US law enforcement officials told BuzzFeed News that Michael Cohen, Trump’s personal lawyer at the time, discussed the idea with a representative of Dmitry Peskov, Putin’s press secretary.

The Trump Tower Moscow plan is at the heart of a new plea agreement by Cohen, who led the negotiations to bring a gleaming, 100-story building to the Russian capital. Cohen acknowledged in court that he had lied to Congress about the plan in order to protect Trump and his presidential campaign.

The revelation that representatives of the Trump Organization planned to forge direct financial links with the leader of a hostile nation at the height of the campaign raises fresh questions about President Trump's relationship with the Kremlin. The plan never went anywhere because the tower deal ultimately fizzled, and it is not clear whether Trump knew of the intention to give away the penthouse. But Cohen said in court documents that he regularly briefed Trump and his family on the Moscow negotiations.
