The Bomber attempted to kill the people that Trump had proclaimed to be ‘Enemies of the people’ people that Trump had repeatedly called ‘Evil’- people that Trump had vilified and whipped up hatred against at his rallies.

You personally defended the use of violence against those protesting Trump’s racism, his anti-american calls to authoritarianism… and now you want us to believe you give a DAMN about unity, civility?

Trump has actively tried to appeal to white nationalists, neo-nazis, bigots- and EVERY DAMN STEP of the journey down this path you have defended him, denied the obvious- even while the neo-nazis celebrated having one of their own in power- someone advancing their agenda.

Now 11 innocent people have been slaughtered- by a homicidal bigot that believed in a conspiracy theory Trump advanced- that wealthy Jews were funding a caravan of bloodthirsty brown people to come to America to kill Americans. He used the same language of ‘globalists’ and nationalism that Trump used days before- And now you want us to be civil when bullets and bombs are being used to silence Trump’s opponents?

You cheered on Trump’s calls for violence, we told you this is what the logical result of those calls would be- now you want us to be polite in the aftermath?

You supported this journey to this place- you cheered this bloody parade with every step it took down this road. EVERY GODDAMN STEP! You ridiculed and ignored all those that pointed out the well worn fascist sheet music they were rehearsing- even as you hummed along to the discordant tune.

Now the cymbals are crashing, the drums pounding and you attempt to shout at the horrified onlookers that warned you – imploring them to listen to the din politely, quietly… TO STAND STILL AS THE FASCISTS MARCH OVER US.

You wanted this, you voted for this, you defended this- now you have it. It was explained to you over and over that THIS would be the result- you ignored those that warned you, ridiculed them.

No matter what happens in the mid-terms one thing is certain- we have not even begun to see the damage, the blood-shed your ‘voice’ has called forth.

Enjoy the parade, Rob, it has a long, bloody route before it reaches the end. Those that share your ‘voice’ – the ignorant, bigoted, minority- will leave many more bodies of innocents in their wake- more bombs, more bullets, more shattered lives- and I have no doubt that you will continue clapping along with the band- it is what people like you do, have always done.

In the end, the parade will reach an ugly place, and you will wonder ‘How did we get here?’- it will be too late, and you will be distracted by the band leader to blame some innocent group for the carnage you helped bring about…

If we are very lucky those standing against the bloody march will prevail- your ‘voice’ will be treated with the disgust, hostility and contempt it deserves. You will be humiliated and judged a gullible traitor- you will live the remainder of your days constantly reminded that the majority of your fellow citizens will not tolerate little men like you…. THAT IS THE BEST ENDING YOU CAN HOPE FOR.

Because the alternative- a country where your ‘voice’ prevails- is a dystopian hellish nightmare from which you will never wake.

I don’t know how this ends Rob- but I do know many more will die while your voice giggles mindlessly- many more innocent lives will be shattered. I DO know that it will not end well for you or those you have chosen as your allies- especially if you ‘win’.
