All three seasons have had ten episodes. I thought at first it was a short season, but no, it's just that not all that much happened. Dick's story is just a speck in the rear view mirror, by the third season. In the first season, and into the second, they had Dick's roadmap, and those seasons seemed faster-paced and more tightly scripted. Now they seem to be trying to develop the multiverse Dick never really addressed, and this seems to have been a setup season. For what, I couldn't begin to speculate. The season ended with, of course, a cliff-hanger, complete with damsel in distress. Alexa Davalos, who plays the damsel in question, Julianna, seems to be having trouble deciding if her character is suddenly Che Guevara, or still the submissive gaijin woman in the Japanese occupation. Uneven character development, some characters risen from the dead, others dead again, betrayal, skullduggery, and brutality...it's a melange that, I'm pretty sure will some day resolve into a story. Maybe even a good one. If it's given another season. The powers-that-be don't seem to have any patience for one weak season, and the ax may fall if the numbers are down for season three. Ultimately it may depend on how Jeff Bezos feels about MitHC, whether he'll save it as he did The Expanse. Should you watch it? Probably, for completeness, to make sense of season four if/when it drops. In another year. Or you could wait to see if a fourth season actually materializes, and binge S3 to catch up.
