He has to tell them something to keep them at a fever pitch, and they can't wait to hear it. They will believe anything he says, and any evidence against it is dismissed as "fake news" or Liberal Lies. Its like trying to debate the theory of evolution with a Southern Baptist. Believe me, I've done that. I've been there. I know these people. I was brought up around them and I know how they think. These are a simple, unsophisticated, even primitive people. They are easily misled and difficult to instruct. But they are not the problem. The real problem is those who know better, but say nothing, and look the other way, because they know their cultural, economic and political interests are being furthered by the lies.
