He obviously has some classical training and he is not stingy with rehearsals. But a lot of singers are good musicians, he has something more. His phrasing is impeccable, the way he controls the cadence of the words to exploit the rhythm of the music. He understands how to use the language as well as the music. Sinatra could do that.
