It is no longer cool to be a bigot.
The blacks, the Jews, and the Spanish are no longer fair game. Foreigners, particular those of Eastern or Southern European origin are no longer the enemy. Asians are now accepted, so are the poor. Women are now actually recognized as real human beings, intellectuals and the educated are no longer sissies and traitors, religious fanaticism is no longer a qualification for full citizenship, and even the attempt to demonize Muslims seems to be failing. And the last bastion of bigotry, the despising of the LGBT community, is no longer publicly defensible.

The bigots know this, they try to dismiss it as mere “political correctness”, some kind of Liberal conspiracy designed to raise taxes and “destroy their heritage”, but more and more of us see it as Justice, and long overdue.

It scares the shit out of them. They are running out of people to hate. They are running out of scapegoats. They are now starting to experience what they have for so long inflicted on everybody else.

Every day there are fewer of them, and they are starting to realize they are in decline and that the only way they can maintain their hegemony now is by brute force.
