They are Christians, or claim to be, they will forgive any sins as long as they are committed by anyone who might be Christian, or at least claims to be. These people were willing to sign on to Birtherism, Death Panels, Benghazi and the Clinton pedophile pizza parlor. The bimbo payoff scandal won't carry any more weight with them than the Putin Penetration of American elections. Extremism in the pursuit of Liberty is no vice. And there's always the "Obama and Hillary did it" excuse. Those in his own party who mistrust and fear him have been bought off with tax cuts, Obamacare, deregulation and primary nomination threats. They have already demonstrated their willingness to look the other way. The new economic news will cement the base behind him, and they in turn will maintain the Congressional majorities that support him. Unless there is some military disaster or economic collapse between now and the mid-terms, there will be nothing coming out of the Mueller probe that can overcome that. And even if there is, firing Mueller and pre-emptively pardoning his indictees will hamstring that effort, or at least, postpone it till after the election. With support in Congress and the courts, the legality or constitutionality of any challenge to Trump will simply not be enough to overcome the obstruction. We saw that process fully exercised and perfected during the last administration. Its all three months away, and no one can fully predict the future, but I am not optimistic. I have a very bad feeling about this.
