But everything I know about him, and every public utterance we have from him, reinforces the fact that he is a profoundly stupid man. How can this be? Granted, a physician is not really a scientist, he's more like an engineer, but there still is required the ability to absorb, access and apply vast amounts of information, and to quickly conjure it up in some pretty unforgiving and rapidly evolving situations. Both detailed "academic" and theoretical knowledge is needed, but it must be often matched with finely honed motor skills and an ability to improvise practically in real time under great pressure. A great deal of intelligence is required for that, especially in a doctor with such a sterling reputation among his peers. So why is it that in every single endeavor outside of medicine this man has only revealed himself to be a complete ignoramus? Is a puzzlement.
