This will distract us from the gun control issue, and it will have other benefits as well...And if it looks like they're getting any traction, these inquiries will suddenly morph into a full-scale attack on the FBI and Justice Department, and then Mueller and the Russia investigation itself. If I were a younger man, I'd be taking notes furiously, keeping a scrapbook, and subscribing to every newsfeed available so I could write the definitive history of these times. We're watching what could be the pathetic end of the American experiment. Then again, we might be witnessing its finest hour. It's too early to tell yet. But I'm too old, and too tired, and too sad. I just can't get it up anymore. All I can do is watch it all unfold, hope for the best, but prepare for the worst.
