Human civilization has collapsed and after centuries has rebuilt itself to the point where they can expand into the solar system...

The first orbital colony is built above Mars... a massive project that takes a large chunk of Earth's dwindling resources. A first step in terraforming mars, to make a second home for humanity...

Suddenly, the collision warning klaxons sound, they scramble to see the approaching impactor on their sensors...

They get an image of the Tesla and the dummy... they have just enough time to say 'What the Fuck?!!" Before humanity's last hope vanishes in a spectacular hyper-velocity collision.

Will the paint fade due to UV light? Will tires, gaskets, hoses, and upholstry be affected by exposure to vacuum?
Will the finish be sanded by micrometeoroid impact? Will fluids leak out or evaporate? Will metals get brittle?
How will temperature extremes affect the materials? Will the radio still work, the batteries? What automotive systems
will survive and still function, since obviously none were designed for the space environment? Will the car look the
same after many years, or will its appearance deteriorate. If it spends a long time in space, will the styling look retro
when it is recovered?

What sort of prep was made to the car prior to launch? For example, was the air pressure in the tires left the
same as on earth, or was some bled out? Will the car start as soon as they key is turned, like the 200 year old VW
Beetle in Woody Allen's "Sleeper"?
